Well the Mineola Swinger's Club cases are still making state-wide news. I represent Shauntel Mayo, the mother of 2 of the children alleged to be victims. Since she still has indictments pending, I cannot comment in too much detail about the status of the cases, but Texas Lawyer and Texas Monthly have done a good job discussing the issues.

I hope the truth comes out someday. I am trying to help in that process. If the kids really were not abused then I hope they will recant their testimony. At this point it seems they may have told different stories depending on who was asking the questions. Hard to place too much faith in their trial testimony if thats true.

So far I have not jumped into the ongoing fight between the defense lawyers for one of the defendants and the DA of Smith County and now the DA of Wood County. Can't see how it would help my client to add fuel to a very hot fire. So for now I will wait patiently for the AG to look at the cases and for the appellate court to issue a ruling.
